Thoughts on the last few weeks:

I think that these last few weeks, it has been very important. With the death toll from Hurricane Katrina that will be reaching over 10,000+ people, there will be severe fallout from this. Economically, this means that we will have to pay more for some basic necessities and more gas pains at the pump. For once, take public or mass transit if you live in a large city. But the most damage upcoming will be politically. This is why this week that the Democrats NEED to step up and become aggressive. Do not be wishy washy. Because for the GOP, what goes around--comes around. And there are signs that the polls out tonight show Bush's approval at/ or near 40%. Also, look for African Americans to press on this issue because of Katrina. Why? Because the GOP is very afraid (and should be) that they would be perceived as uncaring and HEARTLESS! Start pressing them for the mistakes that they have made for the last five years.
