TIM Russet Speaks on NBC:
Subpoenaed in May. On August 7, under oath, at his lawyers' office he was asked if he was recipient of leak, said no. Did he know of Valerie Plame's identity. No. Libby called him not to leak info but to complain about something he saw on television. Libby implied to Russert, Cooper and Miller that he was hearing info on Plame for the first time. Obviously the special counsel didn't believe that.
Russert's contact was solely that Libby called to complain about something on the cable news. He reported the call immediately to the head of NBC News. Russert's first learned of Plame when reading Novak's column.

REAL TIME with BILL MAHER
TONIGHT at 8PM and 11PM PT

Analysis:
Bush is having a really bad day. This will really effect what the second term agenda is for President Bush and the Republican Party. This is a major opportunity for the Democrats to step up and really pound on Bush for the lies that were given by him. This is the moment were Democrats need to state a clear-- AND I MEAN CLEAR-- case of why the Democrats should be voted back into the majority. The Republicans, I think, are in the beginning of a major meltdown that is proven that this is the party of deception, the party of extremists, and the party of intolerance. I see a major fight coming within the Republican Party in November and in the years to come. If they become the vindictive, deceptive theocratic party, then expect the huge loss of moderate and centrist Republicans going into the Democratic Party--or a third party that can and ruin the GOP. 1:00 PM PT

Analysis II:
The fallout continues. However, this does not mean the end. In fact, as I've mentioned, this could be the beginning of the GOP troubles. Karl Rove is still under investigation and he could also wind up being indicted--for even more serious crimes. I don't think they want to be arrogant or cocky for this second term of Bush's presidency. The issues are going to be enormous for the next three years. The effect of the indictments are huge. Bush is in a much deeper and bigger crisis than other administrations. His 'political capital' is shot and destroyed. This all started with the slim--AND I DO MEAN SLIM--election victory of Bush's victory. But the Teri Schaivo case was the real ticking point, because it showed the radical, extremist side of the GOP. The American people really did not like it. That is why I think that there will be a war within the GOP. And it will get ugly. Also, look for a a "gay outing" in the near future. 3:43 PM PT
