Even more scandalous s**t for the GOP

First of all, I like what Congressman Patrick Kennedy did today. He fessed up and told the American people that he had a drug problem and that he was going to a rehab center to help him with his problems. Saves himself a lot of time. Now to the scandalous s**t that is continuing to plague the GOP.

USA Today/Gallup Poll (04/28/06 to 04/30/06)

Congress in the 2006 Elections (AP Poll/USA Today Gallup)

Republicans 34%/39%

The most surprising fact is that the continued drop is from among the conservative base of the GOP. I think that we are at the beginning stages of a GOP internal war. We are seeing the battle between the theocratic wing and the libertarian wing, among with the moderate wing of the party. The party is starting to becoming much more intolerant and that is going to have a big impact in the next few years.
