This year has been a wild and unpredictable one. But the big story here is Hurricane Katrina. Why? Because it exposed so much of our vulnerabilities. It also showed that the arrogance of conservatism resulted in a renewed issue in race and poverty. This year also exposed so much of the Republicans becoming more and more theocratic. That will mean that the moderates and libertarian wings of the party will leave sooner rather than later. The Democrats are starting to find their voice again, but they need to do better. It is THERE FOR THE taking. There are two events that will continue to plague the Republicans. First you got the Scooter Libby trial, and then the Jack Abramoff trial. The analysts predict that the latter will be one the biggest scandals in congress in more than 100 years. Washington will be on fire with both of these trials. Also, there will be more trials in tribulations in Iraq. If the Democrats play this right and STEP UP, then they will definitely see gains in 2006. They won't get a majority in the Senate, but their chances get better in the House. But I will be watching more of the Boondocks in 2006. So I will see you in the new year.
